Hiring Lab Blog

I regularly publish on the Indeed Hiring Lab Blog, using Indeed data to provide timely insights into labor market trends. In a recent piece, I find that jobseekers’ desired benefits align with traditional gender roles: women value flexibility, while men prioritize financial benefits. I have also analyzed labor demand of European defense companies and jobseekers’ interest in that sector.

In my quarterly Labor Market Update, I zoom in on current developments within the German market. My latest Outlook & Hiring Trends Report forecasts a moderate recovery in job postings in 2026, characterized by a deepening structural divide: while demand remains robust in construction, healthcare, and defense, traditional industrial and office roles face continued pressure. Other trends for 2026 include the accelerating AI transformation of white-collar jobs and a push for pay transparency driven by the anticipated implementation of the EU directive.
